The \ARK/ is right now being produced by AAW! Art Project Management with a great team of fearless people from Avellini Steel Bros, genius engineer Jacek Granicki, green-fingered horticulturalist Simon Clements and the beautiful people from 2point8 on stills and videography.
This is a special blog by AAW! documenting the making of the work which started in earnest on 1 November 2011 and will (must) be complete by 27 November 2011. Yes we have a few weeks.
Opportunities for people on all sides of the climate change spectrum to share in the making of the project, putting aside differences to create what is beautiful, will be announced here. You too can get on the \ARK/.
As the hot air continues to rise here on the southernmost tip of darkest Africa and the search for some 13tonnes of the finest steel continues unabated, this image is emblazoned in the crews' hearts and minds after it was pulled from the deep waters of the Wikimedia Commons public domain, as if somehow it was our anchor.
